The Sexy Daughter Cheyenne benefited from a staged reading as part of Eleven Plays on May 31, 2004 at the Lester Martin Drama Workshop in Bennington, Vermont. It was directed by Ryan C. Tittle, with lighting design by Lawson Reed Wulsin, Jr. and sound design by Hans Werner Jatzke. The evening was presented under the auspices of Jean Randich. The cast was as follows:

In an attempt to right old wrongs, Gutrie visits a former lover to repent for what he sees as his selfish love when, in fact, Maggie actually looks back at their relationship as the most important turning point in her life because it gave her her first child—whom Gutrie has never met.
