She's Standing Behind Me benefited from a staged reading as part of All of Some and Never Enough May 17, 2002 at the Upstairs Café in Bennington, Vermont. It was directed and designed by Penn Genthner, with sound design by Cory Stauffer. The Stage Manager was Megan S. Napier. The cast was as follows:
| Jeremy Davis as | Tally |
| Hans Werner Jatzke as | Blue |
| Sara Harvey as | the Woman |
This play tells the story of Tally and his dog Blue (an oversized puppet manipulated by a visible puppeteer) as they await the return of the love of Tally's life. Slowly, day by day, Tally's strength dwindles as it seems like he may never be reunited with the Woman who haunts him. This prompts Tally to attempt to make sense of his life before a touching ending that leads to a kind of unity.
